FACTS
1. What is the main difference between Eco Genesis and other Eco disposable nappies available in Australia?
Eco Genesis nappies are the first nappies that are fully renewable. They are the only baby nappies made of 100% biodegradable material - 100% biodegradable Ingeo™Fibre lining and 100% biodegradable wood pulp. Eco Genesis nappies have been certified by EN13432 and ASTM6400 international standard to be fully biodegradable and compostable when the tabs are cut off. Most other eco disposable nappies haven't been certified to be fully disposable or compostable.

2. Eco Genesis are made of Ingeo™the first man-made plant based fibre which is naturally soft.

3. Currently Ingeo™Fibres are extruded from corn. The NatureWorks™' goal is to using non-farmed plants in future as base materials for Ingeo™fibre.

4. Eco Genesis products are soft but tough. They have been tested to meet the strength requirement for baby products.

5. The absorbent material in th EcoGenesis Nappies contain a mix of wood pulp and polyacryate. Polyacrylate is a super absorbent polymer (SAP) which will soak up and hold large quantities of water.

6. SAP significantly improves the absorbency of a nappy. Nappies which do not contain SAP will not absorb liquid as well which will result in either more frequent nappy changes or
a wet bottom for your baby. SAP is a very controversial material in the Sanitary industry which is why it is one of the most tested materials too! Results show it to be non-toxic,non gene altering and non irritating. SAP is also non toxic if accidentally consumed.

7. Eco Genesis products are 100% Non-Chlorine bleached. This means no harsh chemicals or harmful chemicals are used. The natural tint of the plant fibers used is a very, very pale yellow color. This is why the products may appear a little off white in color.

8.Eco Genesis nappies compost or biodegrade in 90 days based on the conditions of the BPI6400 and EN13432. It could take longer depending on the climate conditions.

9.EcoGenesis products do not require GMO corn. Although currently the corn used is a mixture of non-GMO and GMO corn grown. During the manufacture of the Ingeo-biopolymer, the multiple processing stage and high heat used to create the polymer removes all traces of Genetic Material.
