Bergamot 100% Pure Oil 12ml - (Citrus Bergamia)

The scent of the oil is basically citrus, yet fruity and sweet with a warm spicy floral quality. Bergamot oil is one of the most widely used oils in the perfumery and toiletry industry and forms, together with Neroli and Lavender, the main ingredient for the classical 4711 Eau-de-cologne fragrance and is also used to flavour Earl Grey tea.

Important: Bergamot oil can cause severe burns when used on a sensitive skin exposed to sunlight. It should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. As always with essential oils keep it away from children and pets. It is non-toxic and non-irritant but with possible sensitization in some individuals.

Aromatherapist recommend Bergamot as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, deodorizer, treats genital, urinary, mouth and throat infections, flu, herpes, shingles and chicken pox; and aids digestion, most skin conditions and eczema, reduce depression, anxiety, insomnia or compulsive behavior cycles (including eating disorders). It balances emotions, instilling composure. Also used for abscesses, acne, anxiety, boils, cold sores, cuts, eczema, infections, insect bites, loss of appetite, oily complexion, psoriasis, thrush, varicose veins, ulcers. Burners and vaporizers In vapour therapy Bergamot oil can be used for depression, feeling fed-up, colds and flu, and PMS.

Blended oil or in the bath Bergamot oil can be used in blended massage oil, or diluted in a bath to assist with stress, tension, PMS, skin problems, compulsive eating, postnatal depression, colds and flu, anxiety, depression, feeling fed-up and anorexia nervosa.

Blended in base cream As a constituent in a blended base cream Bergamot oil can be used for wounds and cuts, psoriasis, oily skin, scabies, eczema, acne and cold sores.
